About The Work
- Perform first and second-level contract reviews on complex and strategic deals, ensuring contracts are accurately reflected in ERP reporting systems and properly accounted for in compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606).
- Prepare and document revenue accounting memos for complex transactions and GTM models.
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, IT, GTM, Deal Desk, Sales, and Sales Ops globally, serving as a trusted revenue accounting subject matter expert.
- Work within a multinational, multi-office team, promoting efficiency, effectiveness, and a collaborative culture.
Policy, Controls & Compliance
- Focus on enabling consistent policy application across cross-functional teams.
- Implement controls and evaluate actions required for compliance with ServiceNow’s revenue recognition accounting process, including bookings and billings.
- Ensure SOX compliance and support internal and external audit activities.
- Monitor relevant US GAAP and SEC developments to ensure ongoing accuracy of revenue accounting.
Month-End Close & Reporting
- Complete all required month-end close activities, including revenue reconciliation, accounting entries, and management reporting.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Sales Finance on revenue and SaaS metrics forecasting and projections.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Identify and implement process improvements to refine revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close cycle.
- Leverage new technologies — including AI-powered tools — to automate workflows, improve analytical capabilities, and drive decision-making quality.
- Contribute to revenue policy definition and improvement with a particular focus on scalability across global cross-functional teams.
- Active CPA designation and software accounting experience preferred
- 7+ years of post-qualification experience in a SaaS-based industry or a Big 4 / top consulting firm.
- Deep working knowledge of ASC 606, with a focus on SaaS or software context.
- Proven track record completing complex projects in partnership with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Sales, Marketing, and Information Systems.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly present financial and accounting concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving — including AI-powered tools, automated workflows, or AI-driven insights.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with analytical tools such as Power BI is a plus.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
