About The Work
- Patching and upgrade of Kubernetes infrastructure on-prem and in public cloud
- Implement improvements and bug fixes for infrastructure-as-code tooling and configurations
- Implement and maintain pipelines for test and build of IAAC artifacts
- Troubleshoot and Support production workloads
- Deploy and support networking and storage solutions for workloads
- Maintain and improve observability tooling and leverage automation and AI to expedite MTTR
- Work with a broad spectrum of technologies, including containerization, compute and network management tools (such as Terraform and custom tooling), Kubernetes, the ServiceNow platform, configuration management tools, and foundational systems like DNS/LDAP/DHCP, among others.
- Implement Python/Go, Ansible, Terraform automation and tooling to build, scale and operate the Kubernetes platform
- Leverage AI tools and techniques to drive improvements in how we build, scale and maintain cloud infrastructure
- Improve monitoring and alerting leveraging cloud-native tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Strong Kubernetes knowledge with 3+ years' experience running K8S in production, ideally CKA qualified
- Deep Linux knowledge with 5+ years' experience
- Hands on experience with Cloud native automation and tooling (Flux/Argo, terraform, Helm)
- Networking skills with ingress/egress, load balancing, DNS, TLS, firewalls. Service mesh experience a plus
- Software development skills in Golang or Python. Experience with custom operators a plus.
- Work as part of a team that writes, reviews, and deploys everything as code leveraging gitops workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Third level qualification in a related area (Software Development, Computer Science, Telecoms engineering) preferred
- Relevant industry certifications (CKA, RHCE, LFCS, Amazon/Google/Azure cloud qualifications) are a strong plus
