The scope of a Strategic Sourcing Manager is to partner closely with internal business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-wide sourcing, category management, contract negotiation, and vendor management. This role requires subject matter expertise in Software, with a proven ability to manage complex vendor relationships.

This role will provide strategic guidance in support of the company’s Technology Organization, including Global Cloud Services, and Corporate IT. The individual will also be expected to leverage AI-enabled sourcing tools to improve decision-making, automate workflows, and deliver enhanced insights across sourcing activities.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be expected to negotiate with vendors, work with internal legal counsel to negotiate legal terms and conditions, negotiate cost savings where possible, and move at pace to keep stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Manage, advise, and engage in the sourcing and contracting processes in the software category.
  • Conduct supplier analysis, evaluate potential suppliers, and support the overall supplier qualification process.
  • Drive best value supplier selection to drive year over year savings
  • Develop and create sourcing plans and requests for proposal, and other sourcing strategies.
  • Develop a strong strategic advisor/partner relationship with cross functional teams (legal, procurement operations, finance, IT, etc.) to ensure best in class contracting practices are in place globally
  • Evaluate and recommend sourcing and procurement decisions to leadership
  • Ensure sourcing serves as a critical partner to the business, while also acting as a steward of governing the spend of the business in our operations.
  • Develop and assist with software sourcing strategies
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement sourcing industry trends to advance company strategic sourcing excellence.
  • Strengthen partnerships with business functions across the company to provide valuable consultation.
  • Ensure key business partners understand the strategic and tactical direction for sourcing efforts allowing for integration with company and department strategies.

 

Education

Bachelor's Degree and Minimum 3-years software Sourcing experience
