The Senior Systems Engineer will assist in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments used for customer demos and engineering testing. This role will focus on ensuring high availability, collaborating with presales and engineering teams, and implementing automation to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Support: Assist in the setup, maintenance, and monitoring of cloud and on-premises infrastructure for customer demo environments, trial environments, and engineering testing, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve infrastructure issues under the guidance of the Enterprise Architect
- Automation Assistance: Support the development and implementation of automation scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and tools (e.g., Terraform) to streamline provisioning and management tasks.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with sales , engineering, and product teams to understand requirements and provide infrastructure support for demos, trials, and testing.
- Configuration Support: Help configure product storylines and environments for demos and trials, ensuring alignment with customer needs and product capabilities.
- SaaS Integration Support: Assist in integrating solutions with SaaS platforms like Workday, Oracle, or Salesforce to enhance demo and trial environments.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation for infrastructure setups, configurations, and troubleshooting processes, ensuring clear communication with the team.
- Customer POV Assistance: Support the maintenance and monitoring of customer proof of value environments, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
Skills
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-4 years of IT experience, with exposure to IT security, or identity management platforms (e.g., Okta, Ping, or similar IAM solutions)
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of infrastructure technologies (cloud platforms, virtualization, networking).
- Practical experience in at least one cloud platform(e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), with the ability to deploy and manage resources (e.g., EC2, Azure VMs, or Google Cloud Storage) and configure basic security settings (e.g., IAM roles, security groups).
- Entry-level proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) with the ability to write scripts for automation of IT tasks
- AI-Assisted Efficiency: Leverage modern AI tools and GenAI assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate script writing, debug infrastructure code, and automate repetitive documentation tasks safely and responsibly.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for provisioning infrastructure and familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying and managing containerized applications.
- Working knowledge of Directory Services (e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID), including experience with user and group management
