About The Work

This Instructional Designer role will design, develop, and implement learning programs, curricula, and courseware across a range of topics, including manager development, onboarding, technical enablement, and AI literacy. You'll work from project briefs and curriculum frameworks already established by the team, conducting needs assessments when required and designing training courseware in various delivery modes (e.g., instructor-led, virtual training, self-paced eLearning, microlearning, videos, infographics, guides, and simulations). You'll collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and the Sr. Manager to deliver impactful learning experiences that support organizational priorities and innovation. You'll also own and manage our Intrepid platform, executing support tickets and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Design and develop global curriculum programs that help teams adopt new technologies and engage with AI-powered tools and platforms
  • Create engaging and interactive online content using technical design, creative storytelling, and instructional strategy
  • Manage the end-to-end design and development of assigned learning programs from concept through implementation and quality assurance, maintaining a focus on scalability and learner impact
  • Own the Intrepid platform, managing configurations, updates, and day-to-day support
  • Execute and prioritize Intrepid support tickets to ensure timely resolution
  • Integrate AI technologies into design workflows to streamline content creation and enhance learner engagement
  • Address changes and feedback to courses in a timely manner
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess learning needs and translate them into actionable, measurable learning objectives
  • Leverage a strong understanding of technology and ServiceNow's value proposition in program creation

 

A successful candidate has:

Essential:

  • 4+ years of instructional design and curriculum development experience
  • Training and experience applying instructional design practices and methodologies
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, course development methodologies, and Bloom's Taxonomy
  • Experience interfacing with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) and Synthesia
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) in content creation and problem-solving
  • Understanding of responsible and ethical use of AI in instructional design
  • Ability to learn new platforms and systems quickly
  • High degree of initiative, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to communicate ideas and receive feedback

Preferred:

  • Experience with video editing tools (Synthesia, Camtasia, Premiere, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience with AI-enabled design platforms (e.g., Synthesia, WellSaid Labs)
  • Basic graphic design and typography skills with familiarity in Photoshop and/or Illustrator
  • Knowledge of Kirkpatrick's training evaluation levels
  • Participation in recognized training industry organizations (e.g., Association for Talent Development)
  • Degree in adult learning or instructional design
